Mount Comfort Presbyterian Church

Seeking?          We’re open!              Covid-cautious          Loving life

Saturday, May 18:  Rummage Sale at the Old School House

You are always welcome to Mt Comfort Church where Presbyterians first worshiped under a brush arbor in the early 1800s, provided a way station for Indian Nations on the Trail of Tears (1830s) and a hospital for Civil War soldiers (1860s)…and now:

Every Sunday, 11 a.m.: We explore how we find Jesus in what MLK, Jr called the "Beloved Community" where there are no enemies, only neighbors. Dress is casual, sit where you find a seat, latecomers are never locked out. We praise, confess, give thanks, offer gifts of self, & commit ourselves anew through a few lovely hymns, heartfelt prayers both silent & in community. Communion served monthly for all who wish to come.

Ferncliff Summer Camp!  Our fabulous camp just outside of Little Rock!  See our FB page!

Mt. Comfort Garden: The Garden Team welcomes help—contact us today (479) 442-0059!  In 2021 the garden produced close to 4000 lbs of fresh produce for community meals.

Second Sundays: Potluck at noon in the Old Schoolhouse. Bring a favorite casserole, veggie, meat, dessert or bread (store-bought or homemade or just come eat- there's always more than enough). Invite those who need a family meal!

Support “Sunday Suppers”: Mt. Comfort partners with area churches to serve Sunday Suppers the first Sunday of each month at Trinity United Methodist.  MOST NEEDED AT THIS TIME IS FINANCIAL SUPPORT: there is growing food insecurity & funds are short.

To support Sunday Suppers through Mt. Comfort simply mail a check marked “For Sunday Suppers” to Mt. Comfort Presbyterian, 3816 W. Mt Comfort Rd, Fayetteville, AR 72704.  And look for on-line giving on this page: coming soon!

Welcome to Our Grounds! Come park and pray in the parking lot anytime. Come teach your kids to bicycle in our parking lot! Come sit in the swing at or stroll around the Garden. Come begin your longer walk here: from the parking lot take the sidewalk to Rupple Rd & go north (left) to Clabber Creek Trail—explore it east or west!

The Old Schoolhouse has a hospitable gathering space with an up-to-date kitchen, 2 bathrooms, a large screen & wifi, and a patio off the back.  Perfect for Bible studies, family reunions, out-of-the box business meetings, receptions (our church sanctuary is a sweet wedding space), yoga classes, birding or bicycling groups and more!  Call 479.442.0059.
